only answer this question if you have had braces before?
i went today and got the spacers put in. next week, i get an appliance, then the braces a week or so after that … my questions are:
will the spacers hurt later on ?
will the appliance hurt ?
will the braces hurt ?
will taking a tylenol before each visit to the orthodontist help the pain from being as bad ?
what colors should i get ? i am light skin toned, blue eyes, Dark Brown hair (dyed)

The spacers typically hurt for only a day or two but some people it hurts for up to a week or even longer. What type of appliance are you receiving? The type of appliance you receive may be painful, or it may not be at all. A TPA arch for instance will not be painful at all and will only restrict tongue movement. Braces hurt for typically a week when you first get them placed on your teeth. Taking a Tylenol will help the pain momentarily but like all medicine, it wears off and you can feel the pain once again. Colors that would not contrast your appearance always look good on people. For instance, if you have blue eyes, get some blue or green colored braces; this will make the braces blend within your smile and look much better than say having red or orange braces.
