Lazy Meromany

Her eyes are full of haze and sleep,
Forehead presses against sun kissed arms.
A lolling head, in the teal deep.
Laden with the conch Shell Charms.

In a swirling tangle of braided cloud,
Her apple Wood Hair does shade her back.
To sleep and lounge, her justice vowed,
In rich salt water, beneath briny black.

She lazes upon a plump bed of moss,
Her copper fins do tickle an arched spine.
Gazing in sleep as the teasing fish cross,
Between her long, flexed fingers, ocean divine.

The Meromany creature arches her neck,
She unhinges her jaws, to yawn and turn.
Beside the coral eaves of a shattered wreck,
To a sunken dream she shall return.

And so shaking back her swaying locks,
The lazy Meromany does drown in peace.
Burying her head into a cradle of rocks,
Bored of vision, her thoughts released.

Brilliant I loved it!!! I loved how as I was reading the poem, I was visualizing the Meromany in my head. Each stanza served as its seperate “scene” in which I was creating almost a visualistic movie in my head. Very descriptive. Captivating. Excellente!
