How can I get bulk ornamental coins for Belly Dance costumes?
I think they are made in Turkey, or Pakistan. They are pressed and perforated, either gold or Silver Tone for sewing onto belly dancewear. They are lightweight.Have Egyptian style embossed design. I want to buy kilos, not lots of 200 or even 1000. Kilos.
Hi! I’ve been making bellydance costumes for 5 years now, and as far as I know, coins don’t come by the kilo or pound, they come in packs of 100 to 1000. I make tribal costumes for sale, but I do make some cabaret costumes for myself, and last time I ordered coins I researched and the best deal (even with shipping from CA to USA) was this store on ebay:

By the way, 200 coins weigh around 375 grams, so the packs of 800 that they sell are 1.5 kilo packs.
There is also a wholesaler that a lot of belly dance supply stores use – it’s been a while since I looked thru their catalog, but I’m reasonably sure they had the thinner coins:
