How to disable the system permanently PassLock GM
Purpose
The following instructions will PassLock allow turning off the security in a number of GM vehicles.
• be permitted to install a remote starter and not having to buy a bypass.
• Avoid costly repairs to a broken system and PassLock.
• Off Pass lock system to avoid being stranded in the future.
Requirements
A digital ohmmeter (optional)
T25 screwdriver (optional)
Crocodile Clips (optional)
Screwdriver or other tools to remove interior panels
1 / 4 "Drive 7mm or 9 / 32 socket and driver socket
Procedure
This tutorial differs depending on whether the ignition is:
If the switch is located on the dashboard then you will get the panels on the passenger bottom (toe board) the board. The BCM (Body Control Module) is there and so are the cables you need to get too.
If the ignition is in the address column then you will be removing the side of Driver remove dash panels and clam shell on the whole place with torx screws.
Cavalier and Sunfire For owners only have to remove the shell clam around the ignition is maintained with three screws.
Depending on the vehicle you will be looking for packages of 3 thread colors are
(Group 1) Red / White Yellow Black
(Group 2) Red / White Orange Yellow / Black
1.Remove dash panels to get adequate the wiring harness.
2.Locate lock step two cables, which leaves the operating room on in the BCM to be located in the gray connector, Pin A6 the yellow wire, and pin B6 will be a black wire (which should be right next to each other).
3.Strip isolation of the black cable wire, leaving uncovered so you can test and solder to it later. NO CUTTING This cable!
4.Now cut the yellow wire, be sure to leave enough on both ends for give yourself something to work. Strip both ends cut off for testing.
5.Take your digital ohm meter and put the negative probe on the black wire to be stripped again soon. Place the positive probe on the yellow end of the cable that leads back to the ignition. Using alligator clips here to help grab the wires probes.
6.With probes connected to turn the ignition to the run position. Do not try to actually start the vehicle will not run anyway:). Read the ohm meter reading that is the strength we need to create to fool PassLock security. Turn off the car.
7.When the selection of a resistance do not worry about being dead is sometimes to be near good enough. If you can not find anything anywhere near what we read in the ohm meter you have the option using a resistance of between 0.5K ohms to 13.6K ohms.
8.With disconnected from the probes, making the resistance that has been selected and connect one end to the cable black and then connect the other end into the yellow wire that leads away from the ignition (going to the computer.) Apply black tape to the end of yellow wire that goes to the ignition no longer need it.
Resistance connected 9.With try starting the car, whether they reflect the strength of the vehicle will start on the first try or second.
10.If starts then success! Solder all new connections. Tape your bare wires and reassemble the dash is done:)
11.If no starts not freak out. You will have to do the procedure to relearn the factory (very easy)
10 Minute Learn Procedure
• From the off position.
• Try to start the engine, release the key to the Run position (vehicle will not start).
• Observe security light located on the instrument panel, after about 10 minutes security light will turn off. Stop the engine and wait 5 seconds.
• The vehicle is ready to relearn the Passlock code sensor data and / or keys on the side of the switch transition ignition from OFF to handle.
Important
The vehicle learns the Passlock Sensor Data Code and / or resistance in the transition to the side of the ignition switch from OFF to handle. You must turn off the engine before attempting to start the vehicle.
12. Its all done, Welding of all new connections. Tape your bare wires and reassemble the dash is done:)

Can you identify this tree with yellow flowers?
I live in the central coast of California and a friend gave me one of the few trees that appear to beans from the tree as seed. My tree is now over 8 feet high and wide after two years. The flowers are five petals school buses yellow, about 1.5 "and in colder climates the whole tree is covered with hundreds of people. The flowers are in groups of about 20.
