Soft Porcelain
Is it dangerous to use a boil and bite mouthguard if you have porcelain veneers?
I bought a shock doctor pro plus mouthguard and it’s boil and bite, but my two front teeth are veeners, so would biting down hard on the mouthguard to form the shape of it be dongerous if I have two fragile front teeth or after you boil it is it soft enough to bite down on?
I think that you’ll be fine. We often use this technique to make specialized mouthguards in the office. Although, a dentist has a better ability to fit and trim it to make it comfortable. If you have veneers on the front, especially if you feel they’re fragile, you should be wearing one at night or when participating in sports to protect them.
