Is white rice fattening if u eat it almost every day?

&& my mother tends to make every meal with white rice.
My body is normal rite now. I’ve just been tryna loose some extra stomach i have.
Is the rice fattening?
PPl tell me that is very fattening if u eat it as much as i do.
I don’t think so . Almost every asian I’ve ever seen in my whole life is thin and they eat rice all the time.
