What does the red string of jade jewelry in Buddhism means? is a special way tie?
I know, basically means protection. I received a piece of jade with red cord and I'm not sure how to tie it. Is there a Buddhist feng shui guidelines for doing so?
In Mahayana Buddhism, no matter how you tie – matter how you treat it. The red string means luck – blessing / the Jade Buddha is for protection and blessing. When treated with respect, that somehow work like a charm and will take you to other parts (I have experienced this and many of my friends and family know someone who also experienced a strange thing.) If you treat them as jewelry, is jewelry.
