I have 43 and dx with a rare heart condition. If three open heart waiting for a transplant and need financial assistance?
I've been at UM, UCLA and Northwestern open heart surgeries in the past three years. My problem is and who is suffering financially. I was a nurse before he fell ill and the support principal. My husband and I have a daughter 18. The money we get from disability is simply not doing our bills every month. If anyone knows of orginazations that can help us as grateful.
I can understand that you mean SSI? Are you on Medicaid? Contact the local health services have all type of information and public assistance. I have relatives who are very very bad and they are doing in SSI, Medicaid and public assistance. You must be eligible for food stamps, utility bill payment, etc. You did not help that if you own your home or not. Anyway, contact your local health department. You will be amazed at the amount of services they can provide.

Start a cardiac rehabilitation program for a healthy lifestyle heart
Two months after my open heart surgery, through references to my cardiologist, who was authorized to initiate a cardiac rehabilitation program sponsored health – an exercise program and risk factors of education for people recovering from serious heart procedures and heart disease.
Some patients are healed enough to begin sooner, others later. The gym where I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico, called the Center for Living Well, is spacious in the basement of our hospital. In the last thirty years, thousands cardiac rehabilitation programs have sprung up across the U.S. only, all with similar characteristics.
In my book, The Companion Open Heart: Preparation and Guidance for Open Heart Surgery Recovery (Open Heart Publishing, 2006) I advise you, "increase systematically walk every day, to the point where you can view and hope that the strength and endurance recycling offered in a rehabilitation program good heart. Once your doctor finally approves for cardiac rehabilitation, you will discover what may be a new experience, or the awakening of a pleasure age – go to the gym! "
From a cardiac rehabilitation program is truly an exciting time. I finally really move my body. I I knew I had made tangible progress or I would not be there. I was assigned an exercise physiologist, or case manager. After a general orientation (Completing a detailed questionnaire, learn to take my pulse, oxygen usage and rhythm control guidelines) gave me a personal financial spreadsheet. Preferably three times a week for an hour, I was to track the smooth forward progress in a personalized program – using the treadmill, bicycles, ladders, machine UBE (aerobic ergometer), and so on. Adding weight training to the regime that was to come later, at the discretion of the administrator of my case. In addition, numerous classes (stretching, Therabands, weights) and support groups (smoking cessation, stress management, diet and osteoporosis education) were all available in the package. Once a month there was an "Ask the cardiologists" Q & A led by one of the cardiologists New Mexico Institute Heart. Above all, caring staff, dedicated, very attentive, professional humor. There was a palpable air of camaraderie and developing friendships that evolved in a support group experience for me.
I was accepted into the program wherever I agreed to wear a wireless heart monitor during exercise. How nice! My heart was still bouncing in and out of irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation). There was always someone at the computer screen control of my pace. If, as is more likely that the effort to me a lie-back, although I did not realize, a nurse or exercise physiologist would check me. How was I feeling? Did I feel dizzy? Did I need more slowly? Maybe finish my session for the day? Your pulse is x, we to check your blood pressure …. Since a patient's inclination may be to push through (my common approach in the past), permission to just leave, give yourself a break, can be welcomed. I felt completely taken care of. With so many dedicated professionals around me, and the new friends he was doing, I could not running too much trouble. Although physically difficult at times, cardiac rehabilitation environment made for a positive experience, the confidence to return.
In the book, Heart Attack: Advice for patients by patients (Yale University Press, 2002), most of the eleven contributors out of their way of speaking wonders of his experience cardiac rehabilitation program. "The highlight of my day …"," I acknowledge that the program back to my life track …", "I've been a member for ten years now and I know that keeps me sane …"," My wife is now in the program with me. We have made some great friends …." The social and emotional support received was priceless. Instead of returning to our previous gym or yoga class, many heart patients take advantage of the ongoing accession in its program of cardio-indica.
