Does the Moon rotate? Why do we always see the same face?
I read a few articles but am no closer to understanding. Does the Moon rotate? If so, why do we see the same face of it where ever you live on Earth? I really would appreciate, if possible, a simple explanation. I am having difficulty imagining it.
The Moon rotates once as it goes around the Earth (in ~28 days). Stand up and walk around an object, keeping the front of your body always facing the object – you need to rotate as you go around it.
