Would you rather be the proverbial "dog" or the proverbial "flower"?
Personally, I prefer to be the dog. I would be a kind of ugly, dowdy and perhaps not terribly intelligent, but I was with the other dogs and have a good time. Make more with the charm and affection. And although it may "Mark" a flower or three, I certainly do not mean anything wrong by living a leg and do what dogs do. I too recent years as the flower, and have a very good sense of protecting myself, and sticking up for the other dogs at home.
But, like the flower I would start with a small seed. Actually having anything in the environment, but using the minerals in the earth and rain from the sky, I can grow into a plant the size of pin head, a huge century plant, but let's assume that I'm in the prime of an apple tree. The tree that can come from living long enough to be enjoyed for generations. I provide beauty to see me. I perfume the air around me. Offer pollen for honey bees to make honey. I die and become the fruit that can be fed either humans, animals or insects. I can fertilize the land, or my seed can start the process again.
