What are ferrite chokes?
Ferrite beads and chokes both have impedance characteristics that can be used as filters and safeguards to muffle unwanted interference in electronic circuits. Random high frequency signals, also known as "noise" can cause other circuits close to stop working correctly.
An analogy for unwanted noise on top of the signal is at a party and trying to have a conversation intimate with someone who can not hear because everyone else around you is too high. In circuits, through electromagnetic coupling, a circuit that has strong impulses may induce additional signals beyond the main signal in a nearby circuit, and therefore becomes a source of noise, it almost impossible for the receiver circuit to interpret the main signal.
Well, what are these things? A ferrite bead is a member or strangle electronic nonresistant composed of compounds containing ferromagnetic iron and small amounts of nickel, zinc, or manganese oxides. The impedance properties of ferrite Choke allow him to act with a high resistance to high frequency signals and low resistance to lower frequency signals. Thus, the high frequency noise is cushioned and absorbed energy becomes a very small amount of heat.
