Fredrick watercolor canvas – problems?
I finished a piece of watercolor on canvas Fredrick. These are specially made for watercolor for her not to mat or glass of their work. Suck frame. After all the paint starting problem, after washing up, etc. Once done, put several coats of clear lacquer coat appropriate fixed spray paint. Fine done! Now I realize that black and dark colors are crackling and possibly could take off (or maybe not. Who knows?) The question is, I can use acrylic paint to the type of fixing certain areas with cracks? I can also use acrylic gel medium texture to review the whole thing with some short strokes to improve the appearance flat? Basically, the surface is compatible with acrylic paint? after painting is done, it is sealed with a special spray paint that they recommend. Therefore, it is supposed to be waterproof and can be hung without glass.
I've heard bad reviews of the canvas watercolor watercolors. Basically, the surface is not absorbent watercolor paper is. Yes, you can use this type of acrylics on canvas. However, if you have already spray varnish on it you may have some trouble getting the acrylic to stick to it, but it depends on how thick you spray and what type spray you used. Good luck in repairing your paint!
