How to Fit Jump Rings when Making Charms
Making your own charm bracelets or necklaces can be quite the fun time. If you see a pretty piece of jewelry in the store, but it’s too expensive for you then just take note of the design. You can then go to the store, get your materials and make your own charm bracelet or necklace. Often times it can be a bit difficult to fit the jump ring when making your jewelry. Here’s an easy way on how to fit jump rings.
What you’ll need in order to do so is a pair of flat nose pliers, and a pair of flat nose pliers with a curve. Many times people will distort their ring and it will no longer be round. The pliers will help with this.
All you need to do is grab one end of the jump ring with a pair of pliers and grab the other end of the ring with the other pair of pliers and twist it open so it keeps its circular shape. You then place your charm on the ring and place the ring on the first loop of the chain. (You can make your own charms or buy them from the store).
If you are adding many charms to your bracelet or necklace then be sure you leave equal space between each charm. Once your charm is on, you take both pairs of pliers and close up the ring so it’ll stay on the loop of the chain. To secure just be sure you press together with pressure. If you choose to add charms all the way around the piece of jewelry then leaving three loops in between each charm is a good amount.
How to fit jump rings is an easy task to do. Once all your charms are on and secured then you can wear it out in style.
