A Perfect Tropical Wedding Destination at Soufriere St Lucia

When couples think about having a honeymoon in St Lucia, or perhaps St Lucia is their preferred wedding destination as well, the big question is where to go on this magical island.
It might seem logical to pick somewhere like Sandals with their obvious expertise, but the last thing you want for a wedding is to be in a production line of seemingly endless couples tying the knot one after another.
A different suggestion that will give you an intimate magical, very personal wedding is a small resort outside Soufriere called Crystals. It is lovely, hidden away in a lush tropical garden quite high up on the hillside outside Soufriere with spectacular views of the Pitons, the sea and the village.
Crystals do wedding and honeymoon packages, and this small hideaway has the backdrop, the atmosphere to give you the wedding of your dreams, and make you feel so special on your special day.
Looking at photographs of Crystals, one is reminded very much of an inn, and in fact that is very much what it is like. In reality it is a bed and breakfast inn with the posture to be a real quality small hotel. Apart from breakfast you will need to eat out, but there are any number of good restaurants not far away.
It’s suitability for a tropical wedding is just the incredible architecture of the cottages, and the gardens, which makes it all so very romantic. If you don’t want a small English medieval church, then you won’t find better than this. A wedding package starts at USD850, a very good price for an intimate wedding.
If you are thinking about a honeymoon in St Lucia, then there is a choice of accommodation.
The one bedroom large suite called The Mango, with private deck and plunge pool. The Coco Palm is a large one bedroom cottage with Jacuzzi and private deck. The Sugar Cane, again a large one bedroom cottage with swimming pool, private deck and BBQ.
The papaya a large one bedroom with pool, deck, and outside dining area., and The calabash which as well as the large bedroom, kitchen and lounge area also has private deck, pool, and BBQ. All rates which are around the USD250 mark per night include a St Lucian breakfast.
There are several good reports about Crystals as a tropical wedding destination, and words like charming and unique crop up more than once. There is a special mention of the hosts who really make the day special and have organized everything with great attention to detail. It is finally the character of the place which makes it such a great backdrop, added to the fact that the next couple aren’t waiting outside for you to leave!! At Sandals you would feel like one of many, here you feel special, and that is the way it should be.
