Oh geez. That code is unbreakable. Maybe buy a bunch of awesome shoes. Like heels, or flats, or converse with cool laces.
Or wear colorful make-up (if you are allowed)
Or make your hair look awesome and totally decorate all of your school supplies.
Cuba’s Treasures – Maria La Gorda And The Guanahacabibes Peninsula
The western stretch of Pinar del Rio, and Cuba, is called Guanahacabibes, an indigenous name that has survived. Nowadays, the area is a Biosphere reserve National Park and is highly protected. Many are its charms, but its 14 virgin beaches are particularly attractive to tourists and sea turtles. Along with the turtles, there are another 670 species of flora and a huge variety of animals that call the area home.
Guanahacabibes also gathers numerous archeological sites where evidences of a possible ritual burial were found. It’s been called “El Camino del Sol” (The Path to the Sun) because of its geographical layout oriented to the West. It’s an excavated path on limestone near the coast which flows into a kind of natural, semicircular amphitheater consisting of an ancient small bay. Elders in the area assure that when the burial was discovered several years ago, they found beads and bracelets of a yellowish orange metal, probably gold.
However, the main dish here is the International Diving Center of María la Gorda, a touristic spot dazzling because of the magnificence of its ocean bottoms featuring the largest population of black coral in the archipelago. In terms of safety, María la Gorda boasts instructive personnel qualified by the “Confederación Mundial de Actividades Subacuáticas” (World Confederation of Sub aquatic Activities). As incredible as the diving is in Maria la Gorda, no doubt the name and associated legend have helped to publicize the place. Various versions of the legend of Maria la Gorda exist. She, along with other women, was part of a haul, and eventually abandoned at this beach. As time went by, with some spare pounds and the funny nickname of “María La Gorda” (María, the Fat), she started running the brothel which served the crews of the ships stopping by the area.
In the “Cabo de San Antonio”, the westernmost stretch of the peninsula, another hotel Paradise rises: Cabo de San Antonio village, just 3 km from Roncali lighthouse defining the end of the archipelago in Las Tumbas beach. This hotel of wooden bungalows is an ideal place for resting and admiring nature. It also has a diving center of first class and it offers all the services proper of a modern hotel.
