Cable Netsuke Hoyos (himotoshi)
When most Japanese netsuke netsuke collecting old certainly face a lot of modern copies, usually have two power connecting holes (known as himotoshi), but one will be much larger than the other!
The netsuke was a piece of manipulation, I was on a string to a compartment (sagemon), often it was a Inro (a case of several compartments), which is kept closed by a cord with cable (Ojima) between the inro and netsuke. The kimono had no pockets so the inro is dangling the band kimono (obi), the netsuke was then pushed up the band, which capturing and holding the sagemon in place.
The reason for the larger hole in the netsuke was that once the cable had been going through the inro (Or sagemon) and Ojima (the netsuke then it would have been the last thread) was possible to completely hide one and only cable knot inside the larger hole.
So the way the smaller hole with the larger hole was very well-formed link, gentle curve that was easy to thread the cable through. Often the larger hole is dug further below the surface, to provide enough space for the knot.
The Manju, often used in place of a netsuke, there was also plenty of space to hide the knot inside the opening of the two sections.
In my personal opinion, but there are some very fine netsuke was based on that is inserted through a tail, or leg, instead of having the himotoshi usual, there was then a major drawback in the use, as there was anyway to hide the knot of the umbilical cord.
Another important factor is the position of himotoshi such, were always placed so that like the cable hanging down, the netsuke carving is presented attractively and in the correct position. But, these cable holes were also placed so that no detrimental for any of the detailed carving.
Many of the poor quality after netsuke (these were never used, but were actually made simply to capitalize on the increasing value of netsuke) are often easy to detect. When inspecting a netsuke if the two holes are equal in size and poorly formed (often these are just two drilled holes at an angle known), then you can be sure that this is not a good netsuke!
Unfortunately you can no longer rely solely on judging the himotoshi to identify a modern copy, as some now have smaller holes and larger, especially copies of recent resin netsuke.

I am happy that this dream did not happen ……….. yet?
I thought I would share my dream, because it was a bit strange and terrifying. The dream started with helping my mom carry groceries in her house at night, when a 30-something Asian Americans came my mom and asked her to pray to the Buddha Statue resin black at home. My mom was a bit skeptical that someone has to come and pray to the statue each time a problem arises in your life. The woman said, "But please, I asked him before and it worked. And do not listen to today that a Russian warship shot down U.S. fighter aircraft? "My mother hesitated and made a face, but decided to let her come to pray at the statue. When we entered the house of my best friend in-laws were eating at the table and my mom and I were discussing how to break the news of the current event, which was when the dream ended. Needless to say, I became on CNN when I woke up and was relieved that it was just a bad dream so far.
I think the dream is a matter of trust. Do not trust people your mom, but to trust people. You may be worried that people can enjoy nature or kind and very good.
