Acrylic Heart

Acrylic Heart
Why does everyone hate acrylic yarn?

Are there reasons for it? I can make a perfect sweater to her? I would love to get some of those wool quality, but are far beyond my budget … is the good Red Heart yarn? (That's what im thinking of using!) Will well my dog a sweater knit acrylic yarn red heart??

Acrylic is * not * per se that I avoid, is inexpensive yarn. They tend to be rigid and rough. You mention Red Heart, which is a brand that has a number of threads that its line and "sister" lines (TLC, Moda Dea). There are several threads on these lines I have used and that I like, but Red Heart Super Saver is not one of them. I have found that the yarn does not work cheap even for my taste, I do not feel good when I'm working them, and do not wash out soft enough for my taste. They wear like iron, though, so if you are, for example, a heavy crochet rug foot while you are cooking or washing dishes, Red Heart Super Saver could be a good option for that. A warning as well: If you leave a skein of Red Heart Super Saver in hiding for a couple of years it will be harder and harder and harder. Ask me how I know that. My cheap and worsted weight yarn favorite is Plymouth Encore. It comes in a wide range of colors and is widely available in yarn shops or online. It retails for about $ 5.50 or less for a ball 100-gm/200 yd. Is 75 percent acrylic and 25 percent wool, so it has many good features of both: the machine washable and dry sweaters (I socks dried in the dryer, but hang or fix the planes) of the acrylic, the heat and the loft of the wool. If you're making a garment, I recommend you give it a try. You can make a baby sweater 3 ball and determine how you feel about an investment of about $ 15 or a pair of hot boot "socks for $ 10. My absolute favorite work is Lopi yarn. However, I live in a part of the U.S., where there is not enough cold weather to justify the use of yarn Iceland. Lopi I get my "fix" for knitting warm woolies and charity of others who need donated items hot. Personally, I think cheap to buy yarn all a false economy, in part because it diminishes my pleasure in knitting or crocheting and partly because the life of the final product tends to be shorter. But the thread for the purpose will help even that. I hope this debate help you decide. Edit: In the dog sweater: without seeing the pattern, it would be difficult said. However, when he said "dog sweater", I thought TLC Heathers. Personally, I prefer the color and fabric, your mileage may vary.
